Where did you grow up?
I first lived in the beautiful city of Mankato, Minnesota, then we moved 50 miles south where there isn’t a single stoplight in our entire county and we have a 55’ Jolly Green Giant statue.
Are you a morning person, or a night person?
My husband is literally scared to wake me in the morning. That should sum it up.
What is your favorite season or holiday?
I adore the 4th of July because it’s my wedding anniversary and always a big party. We usually spend the day with friends and family
If you could live with one person living, dead, or imaginary for one year in a tiny one bedroom apartment, who would you choose and why?
That’s an easy one. I would choose Mr. Dave Grohl. He’d be incredibly entertaining because he’s not only hilarious, but I could listen to
What is the wallpaper on your cellphone?
Well…Dave Grohl is on my home screen, so to keep my husband from getting jealous, for the lock screen wallpaper I used a picture of him walking our daughter across the football field the night she was crowned Homecoming.
What inspires you, or where do you look for inspiration?
I almost always come up with something brilliant whenever riding on the back of my husband’s Harley, or traveling to a city I love.
Who are three women in time, real or imaginary, worth looking up to? Why?
My sister for being one of the strongest people I know, Gwen Stefani for constantly evolving to stay relevant while looking amazing, and Olivia Benson because she’s a survivor and rocks the confident detective look like no one else.
What is the most attractive, and the first thing you notice, about the opposite sex?
I tend to be drawn to pretty eyes, whether because they’re dark or a striking color. If they also have thick eyebrows, I’m a goner. But we’re talking well groomed, not wild and bushy.
Who is the first person you call when you are having a bad day?
I hate talking on the phone so I try to avoid it at all costs, but sometimes I’ll break down and call one of my three closest friends. One of them may get cut from that list after recently making me FaceTime.
What kind of drunk person do you turn into when you drink?
A super chatty dancer. There’s a video floating around the local bar of me dancing on one of the tables a few weeks back.
What is your favorite 90’s throwback jam?
4 Non-Blondes’ What’s Up takes me back to senior year every time!
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
French silk…I could eat an entire tub on my own!
What is your biggest baddest guilty pleasure?
Probably shopping. I have a debatably unhealthy obsession with jewelry.
Do you believe in Ghosts? Aliens? Big Foot?
I honestly want to, but I feel like if they were real, we would have indisputable proof by now. Because, you know, technology.
If only one of your books could be turned into a movie, which one would you choose and why?
I’d have to go with my young adult novel, Paranormal Keepers. My imagination went wild with that one - I’d do anything to see the creatures and historic school by the Swiss Alps come to life!
If you could throw a parade, what type of parade would you throw and why?
When my brother lived in San Diego, he took us to a 2-hour Christmas parade downtown that basically consisted of locals drinking on floats. I’d love to do something like that with authors because they’re my people, and we know how to party.
Do you ever hide secrets in your books that only a few people would find?
Yes! I love mentioning characters from my other series and standalones that only my biggest fans catch. Sometimes I don’t even mention them by name...
If you were forced to open a bakery, what would you name it?
OSHA Would So Not Approve.
If there was a movie release about your life, who would you want to play you, who would play your love interest, and what type of movie would it be?
I’d have to go with the obvious, Sandra Bullock, because everyone already tells me that I look like her, and plus she plays spastic well. Will Ferrell would be an accurate representation of my husband, making it a well-deserved comedy.
Would You Rather...
Be able to teleport wherever you want, or be able to read minds whenever you want?
These questions are giving me the hives, but this seemed the least anxiety-inducing. I’d love to be able to teleport because I hate driving and then I could go to more concerts and take more vacations!
What are you currently working on?
Miami Bodyguard, the next book in the Kendall Family series that tells Angelina and Asher’s story.
What other plans do you have with your writing?
I’m planning out a 5 part rockstar series that will hopefully pull together aspects of Shameless, Good Will Hunting, and Cruel Intentions.
When is you next book possibly going to release?
Kendall Chritmas, a novella, will be released on December 1st!
