[20 Questions] Aim Ruivivar @mr_aim ‏

When is your birthday?
Hahaha, let’s just say I was born in the 70’s.
Are you a morning person, or a night person?
Morning person?
If you could go anywhere in the universe, where would you go, and why?
I’m easy to please. Going to the moon would be fine. I want to see the view of the world from afar… still possible but unattainable.
If you could live with one person living, dead, or imaginary for one year in a tiny one bedroom apartment, who would you choose and why?
Paul Walker! I want to see his goofy smile again. I’ll make him read my romantic comedy novel, I Will Never Marry a Cowboy. He was my muse when I wrote that some years ago.
What is the wallpaper on your cellphone?
The secret book cover I wanted for the screenplay I wrote entitled, 14 Days of Sasha… for which I am writing as a novel this time.
What is the weirdest thing that you have ever googled?
How to murder someone without being traced… but of course, it’s for a novel I’m writing.
What is the most attractive, and the first thing you notice, about the opposite sex?
Eyebrows and forearms… I know it’s weird. There’s just something about them that should be manly attractive for me!
Who is the first person you call when you are having a bad day?
My hubby and no one else
What kind of drunk person do you turn into when you drink?
I’m the quiet one. I hardly get drunk. I was trained by my granddad at a young age to take in liquor and not get drunk in the process…hahaha.
How would you describe your favorite color to a blind person?
I’ll let the person feel my face when I am at my saddest moment. Blue and gray are my favorite colors.
What is your favorite 90’s throwback jam?
Dumb by Nirvana!
What do you put on your pizza?
What I like with pizza is just the crust. Odd but I like ‘em soft and chewy.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Vanilla if it’s plain or cookie dough if flavored with other things
Who would win in a fight: Batman or Spiderman?
Spiderman, simply because I never liked Batman at all. Sorry.
Do you believe in Ghosts? Aliens? Big Foot?
Yes, I do believe in them. I also believe that the world is full of unexplainable wonders and possibilities!
If only one of your books could be turned into a movie, which one would you choose and why?
I would definitely choose 16 Myths, Volume 3 which is aptly entitled Rekindled Myths. Someone has described 16 Myths as an anti-racial novel and I love that. That was my main purpose and I like that message to spread like wildfire. That novel is also filled with all the essentials like love, action and fantasy!
Who is your favorite author, and/or what is your favorite book?
Benjamin Hoff is on my number one list with his book, The Tao of Pooh. It saved me from dwelling on my shitty young adult life too much. Things are as they are, he said in that book. It’s a simple sentence but it hit me in so many ways.
Do you ever google yourself?
Lol, guilty!
Do you ever hide secrets in your books that only a few people would find?
Yes! I leave cookie crumbs about myself in every single thing I write. And if you know me that well you will know what they are.
What is one food, or drink, that you could NEVER give up?
Popcorn and Frozen Coke
What was the hardest scene, or book, for you to write?
Fight scenes are a bust! It’s always hard to elaborate on moves especially if I’m a peaceful being. I hate fighting… but sometimes I have to be down with it.
What is your most favorite quote or lyric?
It’s all in the mind. – George Harrison
Do you sing in the shower?
What is the weirdest thing you have ever done, or experienced, on a date?
So this guy positions two plastic cups in front of me…one on the left and one on the right about a meter from each other like a scale for something. Then he asked, “Where do you think will I get far in this date hoping that it will turn into a relationship? The cup to your left will be zero and the cup to your right will be 10.” He hands me another cup to place it anywhere from the scale of 0 to 10 to signify where he’s at. Lol… I think I gave him 8.
If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?
Steak and mashed potatoes
Are you a Clutter Queen or a Neat Freak?
Definitely a Clutter Queen, it wouldn’t be me if there’s no clutter
If you were forced to open a bakery, what would you name it?
Baker’s Grimm
If there was a movie released about your life, who would you want to play you, who would play your love interest, and what type of movie would it be?
Ahaha, Gal Gadot will play me and Henry Cavill will be my love interest. It will be an epic love story that will stand the test of time…lol.

Would You Rather…

See but never smell, or hear but never taste?
See but never smell… only because the sense of smell is the least important sense for me.
Have the hiccups for the rest of your life, or always feel like you got to sneeze but never actually do it?
I’d take the sneeze that will never happen. Hiccups are such a pain.
Know when you are going to die, or know how you are going to die?
I would rather know when I would die than knowing how. There’s a sudden nostalgic feeling to know when you’re life is supposed to end. Planning everything to a tee, bidding one’s loved ones goodbye and doing things you’ve ever wanted to do just as when you’re about to exhale your last breath. I’ll gladly declare these words on my dying moment, “Here is my end. I’m glad I’ve lived.”
Be alone for the rest of your life, or forever be surrounded by annoying people with bad body odor?
Be alone for the rest of my life… I like everything simple.
Always have to speak and write what’s on your mind, or never be able to speak or write again?
Always speak and write what’s in my mind… I’m a writer, a lover of music and a frustrated artist where I have this constant hunger for expression.
Be forever itchy, or be forever sticky?
Forever sticky, having an itch is nasty!
Be able to teleport wherever you want, or be able to read minds whenever you want?
Teleport! I’m a wanderer!
Know the history of everything you touch, or be able to speak to animals?
Speak to animals… it will be great to know all about their thoughts.
Live your worst day ever, over and over again, for one year; or lose one year of your life completely?
Lose one year completely… living the worst day of my life over and over again will make me crazy.
Be permanently transported 200 years into the future, or be permanently transported 200 years into the past?
In the future, I want to see where my books ended up, lol.
Looking Forward...
What are you currently working on?
Dark Myths and Rekindled Myths are on top of my list… a space anthology is also in the works!
What other plans do you have with your writing?
Write in other genres, definitely.
When is your next book possibly going to release?
Forgotten Myths will be re-released sometime in November or December.
