When is your birthday?
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in northeastern Ohio. It scarred me for life since we would experience the “lake-effect” and get hammered with snow often. I’ve had a powerful aversion [read: hate] for the cold/anything to do with winter ever since.
What is your favorite season or holiday?
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because we’ve always opened up our home to other military members who might not be able to travel home to their loved ones.
What are three things that you would put on your Bucket List?
Running a 5K or 10K with my daughter; learning to surf; learning Muay Tai
What is the wallpaper on your cellphone?
My father wearing a princess crown my daughter made and posing with my daughter. 💖
What are three things that you always keep handy at all times?
Hand sanitizer, dental floss, and “boo-boo” ointment stick. All of these things are requested or needed on a regular basis by my hot mess of a toddler.
What is one thing that most people do not know about you?
I have two graduate degrees in completely different disciplines: one in Elementary Education and another in Forensic DNA & Serology
What is one piece of advice that you would give to future generations? To the opposite sex?
ALWAYS be yourself. Even if you feel like it might not be good enough or cool enough for others. There’s only one you, so own it.
Who is the first person you call when you are having a bad day?
My husband, Matty. That guy is my rock.
What kind of drunk person do you turn into when you drink?
Oh, Lord. LOL I guess I’d probably have to say I turn into a more hardcore version of my sober make-friends-with-everyone-Italian self.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate peanut butter.
What is one food, or drink, that you could NEVER give up?
Sushi. If I didn’t have to worry about mercury poisoning, I’d probably eat it daily.
Do you sing in the shower?
Do any of the scenes in your books come from personal experience, or actually events, and are you willing to tell us about one?
Oh, boy. BLUE BALLS definitely contained some actual events that happened in real life, either to me or my close friends. Only my close friends know which one actually happened to me due to the epic level of mortification. 😉
If you could be on any reality TV show, which one would you choose?
Can we classify House Hunters as a reality-type show? Because I would LOVE to be on one of those shows and chime in [i.e. be a heckler of sorts] on the potential buyers’ conversation:Them: We want a house in the city, buuuut we don’t want neighbors. Or the noise from traffic. And the place has to have a ton of natural light, lots of windows.Me: So basically you want to live in the country…?
Them: We would love a place with an open concept and at least three thousand square feet.Them <once they tour a home that meets these specifications>: Mmm, no. This is way too open. Too cavernous.Me: Shall I show you this other place? It’s often referred to as an underground bunker. It’s super quaint and…
If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?
Excellent sushi, good wine, and a few thick pieces of watermelon.
Are you a Clutter Queen or a Neat Freak?
Neat freak. Things have to be/look orderly and organized.
If you were forced to open a bakery, what would you name it?
The Muffin Top.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
People who chew with their mouths full.
Would You Rather…
Have the hiccups for the rest of your life, or always feel like you got to sneeze but never actually do it?
The sneeze feeling because whenever I get hiccups, I get them so bad they hurt.
Know when you are going to die, or know how you are going to die?
How. Definitely how, because then I’d brainstorm all sorts of preventative measures and/or the gentlest, least traumatic way. I’m a planner.
What are you currently working on?
I’m actually working on a co-writing project (details are still on lockdown for now) and DITCHED, an upcoming standalone featuring a supporting character from my second chance romance, He Loves Me…KNOT.
When is you next book possibly going to release?
I’m tentatively planning for March 2018.
