EnJoy...
When is your birthday?
April 12th
Where did you grow up?
Bangor, Maine
Are you a morning person or a night person?
Both. I do my best writing at night, but
I do my best adulting in the morning.
Why did you choose to write for the genre that you do?
Darkness has always been something I’ve
been attracted to. I’m inspired by the way people overcome tragedies, so I
naturally gravitated toward dark fiction (my first two novels) and then dark
romance.
If you could go anywhere in the universe, where would
you go, and why?
I’ve traveled a lot, but I haven’t been
to Asia. That’s next on my list.
If you could live with one person living, dead, or imaginary for
one year in a tiny one bedroom apartment, who would you choose and why?
My hubby. We’ve done the 1-bedroom
apartment thing and we survived it, so I know we could do it again.
What are three things that you would put on your Bucket List?
Learn to speak Spanish, travel the world
for a year, open a doggy daycare.
What is the wallpaper on your cellphone?
My dogs. I have a Maltese and a Yellow
Lab. Besides my hubby, they’re my everything.
What are three things that you always keep handy at
all times?
Lip gloss. Floss. Sharpie.
What is one thing that most people do not know about
you?
I eat almost a whole pineapple every
day.
What is the most attractive, and the first thing you
notice, about the opposite sex?
Hands. Always their hands. They tell so
much about a person. Not just their nails, but their skin, the shape and length
of their fingers, and the width of their palm.
If you could be any color in the big box of crayons,
which one would you be?
Black.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Coffee.
Do you eat your feelings, or starve them?
I eat them. Bring on the sweets.
What is your biggest baddest guilty pleasure?
Porn. Is that a guilty pleasure? Let’s go with it.
If you could throw a parade, what type of parade would
you throw and why?
I saw a dog parade recently in New
Orleans that was adorable. There should be more of those. Dogs make everyone
happy.
What is one food, or drink, that you could NEVER give up?
WINE. And chocolate. I love them
equally.
Do any of the scenes in your books come from personal
experience, or actually events, and are you willing to tell us about one?
My first novel, Memoirs Aren’t
Fairytales, was inspired when I lost a best friend to a heroin overdose. In the
novel, a man nods out on the subway and almost falls and hurts himself. The
exact scene happened to me while living in Boston, except the man nodding out
in front of me OD’d on the train and died.
Are you a Clutter Queen or a Neat Freak?
Neat freak. Clutter doesn’t live in my
world.
Would You Rather…
See but never smell, or hear but never taste?
I’d rather see, but never smell. I have
an extremely sensitive nose. It can be amazing and a curse all at the same
time. I could handle not smelling, but seeing is a MUST.

About Marni Mann

Bestselling author Marni Mann knew she was going to be a writer since middle school. While other girls her age were daydreaming about teenage pop stars, Marni was fantasizing about penning her first novel. She crafts sexy, titillating stories that weave together her love of darkness, mystery, passion, and human emotions. A New Englander at heart, she now lives in Sarasota, Florida, with her husband and their two dogs, who have been characters in her books. When she’s not nose deep in her laptop, working on her next novel, she’s scouring for chocolate, sipping wine, traveling, or devouring fabulous books.
