Binge-Worthy: Rockstar Romance

31 March 2017

Alexandra currently lives in Epsom, Surrey with her husband, two kids...and... a puppy, a chicken and a gold fish.
 Yes, in that order.
She loves writing, drinking Champagne (or Prosecco) and of course, wearing high heels.
When she isn’t writing, you can find her on hanging out with her fans on social media.

Her new book, Milli released last Tuesday (March 28th), and it was fantastic, guys! Its the first book to an addictive, and thrilling story. It's well work making that SUPER easy trip over to Amazon to hit that handy dandy purchase button.

Before you do that, however, scroll on down to read what she said to the following questions!
Enjoy, My Little Pretties....

Are you a morning person, or a night person?
Night person.
Why did you choose to write for the genre that you do?
Pure chance. But now I’m starting to dab into thriller more. Of course, with romance underlay.
What is your favorite season or holiday?
Winter. I love snow!
If you could live with one person living, dead, or imaginary for one year in a tiny one bedroom apartment, who would you choose and why?
Henry the eighth, but I’d live with him in Hampton Court Palace!
What are three things that you would put on your Bucket List?
Learn to play guitar, form a band, get a PhD
What is the wallpaper on your cellphone?
It’s of an Antelope. Yeah, don’t ask.
What inspires you, or where do you look for inspiration?
Books. Art. People.
What is one piece of advice that you would give to future generations?
For success, don’t rush, focus on the tasks you are doing. For love, use every moment to give love, never stop doing it.
What is your most embarrassing moment?
At a job interview when I said – I thrive on sex (instead I thrive on stress lol)
What is your most favorite time in History?
Tudor England
What is the most attractive, and the first thing you notice, about the opposite sex?
Eyes. The eyes say a thousand words.
Who is the first person you call when you are having a bad day?
My older sister.
What kind of drunk person do you turn into when you drink?
A quiet one - if I realise I’m drunk I know I overdone it, and therefore change my drink for water until I feel better.
How would you describe your favorite color to a blind person?
Sparkly hot fire. (cool question btw)
If you could be any color in the big box of crayons, which one would you be?
What is your favorite 90’s throwback jam?
Push it by Salt’n’Peppa
What do you put on your pizza?
What is your biggest baddest guilty pleasure?
Who would win in a fight: Batman or Spiderman?
Iron man all the way.
Do you believe in Ghosts? Aliens? Big Foot?
Yes, Yes. No. Come on, Big Foot doesn’t exist.
So, the Moon Landing, did it actually happen?
Debatable. But I’d like to think yes.
If only one of your books could be turned into a movie, which one would you choose and why?
All of them are amazing, each could be done in different film genre. Here are a few examples:
The Collar of Freedom – a love story
More Than Just a Pair of Pumps – thriller/heist
Lion’s Vineyard – love saga
If you could throw a parade, what type of parade would you throw and why?
Sixties Flower Power parade. Actually, thank you, this is exactly what I’ll organise in my nearby park. I love that era.
What was the hardest scene, or book, for you to write?
Sad scene. I cry for days after.
What is your most favorite quote or lyric?
“I’m the Master of my life, I’m the Captain of my soul” from the poem Invictus
If there was a movie release about your life, who would you want to play you, who would play your love interest, and what type of movie would it be?
There is one out already. Avatar.

What are you currently working on?
“Milli” the sequel. It should be out by end of June this year.
What other plans do you have with your writing?
I want to write a book in a completely different genre than romance. Though I’m still thinking about it.
When is you next book possibly going to release?
Milli published yesterday, 28th March so I’m still excited about that!

When twenty year old Eliza Cruz heads to London for the execution of her grandmamma’s will, she inadvertently triggers a series of events that take her straight to perdition, inside the devil’s lair itself.
But Sean O’Connor, the tall handsome stranger she meets en route, is always one step ahead, saving her life on a few occasions. A true Knight in shining armour.
But is he? If he really was a Knight, he’d be looking for a Princess.
Clearly, Eliza is not one. "Shh… Quiet. Don’t let them hear you. Or else they’ll come. I don’t want them to come. This is my room. My space. A doll house that I’ve been living in since they brought me here. No windows though. Just a small dog flap at the bottom, closed with a latch from outside. But still, it’s mine. It’s the only thing I have. Why? Trust me, knowledge is not power, no matter what everyone say." I’ve never heard of Marquis de Sade before. But having been forced to read about him in the small confined space I was imprisoned in, on my knees, with my bottom out of that wretched hole, I now know who Milli was. Her sexual gratification depended on suffering physical pain and humiliation imposed by others. And they are priming me for the same. For the big cull, as they say.

Evi Devil.
Yes, that’s really my name.
The irony is not lost on me.
I was created from two evil souls and have the name to prove it.
Devil worshipers, perverts, murderer. Is all terms used to describe the parents I refuse to remember. My mind won’t allow me to.
And why would I want to?
One born of dirty blood running through her veins can never truly be clean from its murky hue.
No matter what they try to tell me happened in my past, my mind denies me access, therefore how can I know it’s true?
How can I believe that’s what I’m born from?
Glimpses of my past haunt me, the screams of terror echo in the silent darkness of my memories, trying to remind me that my Mother went from room to room butchering our family.
I’ve learned from scars that I suffered abuse and that my Father and siblings weren’t my Mother’s only victims.
Hearing what they tell me.
Reading the words printed in the papers. None of it can prepare me for what’s to come.
My biggest lesson is learning that some memories we suppress for a reason.

25 March 2017

She's a bestselling author. She Dives into the darkness to bring you stories that feel real, but will also, twist you up inside. Her stories will definitely leave you wanting more. She has a book,  Animal, that releases TODAY! It's a standalone spin-off from her other book, Prisoned. I can tell you from experience that these book are a total mind-Fr@ck! Her books are truly AMAZING, guys! So, before you rush off to pick up your own copies, lets take a minute to read what she said when I threw my 20 Questions at her....

When is your birthday?
April 12th
Where did you grow up?
Bangor, Maine
Are you a morning person or a night person?
Both. I do my best writing at night, but I do my best adulting in the morning.
Why did you choose to write for the genre that you do?
Darkness has always been something I’ve been attracted to. I’m inspired by the way people overcome tragedies, so I naturally gravitated toward dark fiction (my first two novels) and then dark romance.
If you could go anywhere in the universe, where would you go, and why?
I’ve traveled a lot, but I haven’t been to Asia. That’s next on my list.
If you could live with one person living, dead, or imaginary for one year in a tiny one bedroom apartment, who would you choose and why?
My hubby. We’ve done the 1-bedroom apartment thing and we survived it, so I know we could do it again.
What are three things that you would put on your Bucket List?
Learn to speak Spanish, travel the world for a year, open a doggy daycare.
What is the wallpaper on your cellphone?
My dogs. I have a Maltese and a Yellow Lab. Besides my hubby, they’re my everything.
What are three things that you always keep handy at all times?
Lip gloss. Floss. Sharpie.
What is one thing that most people do not know about you?
I eat almost a whole pineapple every day.
What is the most attractive, and the first thing you notice, about the opposite sex?
Hands. Always their hands. They tell so much about a person. Not just their nails, but their skin, the shape and length of their fingers, and the width of their palm.
If you could be any color in the big box of crayons, which one would you be?
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Do you eat your feelings, or starve them?
I eat them. Bring on the sweets.
What is your biggest baddest guilty pleasure?
Porn. Is that a guilty pleasure? Let’s go with it.
If you could throw a parade, what type of parade would you throw and why?
I saw a dog parade recently in New Orleans that was adorable. There should be more of those. Dogs make everyone happy.
What is one food, or drink, that you could NEVER give up?
WINE. And chocolate. I love them equally.
Do any of the scenes in your books come from personal experience, or actually events, and are you willing to tell us about one?
My first novel, Memoirs Aren’t Fairytales, was inspired when I lost a best friend to a heroin overdose. In the novel, a man nods out on the subway and almost falls and hurts himself. The exact scene happened to me while living in Boston, except the man nodding out in front of me OD’d on the train and died.
Are you a Clutter Queen or a Neat Freak?
Neat freak. Clutter doesn’t live in my world.

Would You Rather…

See but never smell, or hear but never taste?
I’d rather see, but never smell. I have an extremely sensitive nose. It can be amazing and a curse all at the same time. I could handle not smelling, but seeing is a MUST.
